YOUR ESTHETICIAN- My name is Megan Rodriguez and I have been a licensed Esthetician since 2017. My main focus is for each individual that I treat to have the best experience possible while smashing their skin care goals. Santa Fe Sugaring & Waxing wants you to leave feeling smooth, confident, and educated about your skin! WHAT IS SUGARING- A traditional ancient Egyptian method of an all-natural, gentle and highly effective method of hair removal. A “honey-like” paste made of just sugar, water and lemon juice is used to extract hair by the root. It's a technique which has been practiced for centuries. The paste does not adhere to live skin making it an excellent choice for the face, body and intimate areas and especially for those with sensitive skin. With consistent sugaring the follicle will have less blood supply to it overtime, which will in turn weaken the follicle. You’ll get less hair growth each time, and the hair that does grow will be finer and sparser. The end result: smooth, hairless skin, which usually lasts for around four to six weeks. BEFORE YOU BEGIN YOUR SUGARING OR WAX... • Grow hair at least 1/4 of an inche (3-4 weeks). • Exfoliant and cleans the area. • Pop an anti-inflammatory. • Stay away from caffeine and drink lots of water. DURING YOUR SUGARING OR WAX... • Relax. AFTER YOUR SUGARING OR WAXING... • Wear clean, loose fitted clothes after appointment. • Avoid touching treated area or applying lotions for 48 hours. • No hot showers or baths (use cool or lukewarm water). • No exfoliating for 72 hours. After exfoliat twice weekly. • Avoid working out, saunas or swimming for 24 hours. • No tanning of any kind.
